Alfa Romeo Brera

"You can't call yourself a petrol-head until you've owned an Alfa"

Now for something a little bit more "restrained" than the Mclaren. This is quite possibly the most beautiful car ever made. There are few that come close to matching the amazing lines this car has. It's like watching a pretty girl in a beautiful dress dance to classical music in a luxurious ballroom. This car has received numerous awards for it's looks. Question is though, is it fast?

Another timeless design from Pininfarina.

In short, no. But that doesn't matter because that's not what this car is about. Sure there are faster, more practical, and more reliable cars out there but that's not why you buy an Alfa. You buy Alfa Romeos for the passion and soul they bring to the automotive world. In my honest opinion, Alfa's are the heart of the industry. As is said often on Top Gear, "You cannot be a true petrol-head until you've owned an Alfa." It's a shame they aren't offered here in the States. They started production in 2005 and ended in 2010. There were various special editions like the "Brera S" and "Italia Independant" and even a Spider version. This is truly a special car that deserves a spot in every collection.

  1. Yeah, with 151 being about 80 mph slower than the McLaren "a bit more restrained" is quite the understatement.

However, agreed, a very beautiful car indeed.
